Upcoming Work Based on the Gospel of Mary Magdelene
My next project will be to present the text of Mary Magdalene's Gospel as a Book of Hours. This form was commonly used during the 13th Century, and follows the format of a book of prayers recited during the Medieval hours of the day (Matins, Lauds, Prime, etc). I am honored to once again be able to use a translation by Dr. Marvin Meyer.
Below is a draft rendition of the hour of Sext (12 p.m.) and the first page of Gospel text to follow the hour of Matins (2 a.m.). More to come!
