I have studied Iyengar Yoga for about 25 years. The teachers I have had from the Iyengar Association of the United States and from Pune, India (where this system began under B.K.S. Iyengar) are the finest in this discipline.
I am certified as a Level TWO Iyengar Yoga Teacher, which means that I am capable of teaching a good number of poses, of putting together a sequence for class, and for weaving philosophical and historical intent into my teaching. I can also comfortably address minor problems in the student and some restrictions or limitations a student may have. Iyengar Yoga uses props and other aids,
which I am trained to offer as needed.
In art, I am calligrapher and watercolor artist. My works deal with Early Christian Studies (like the Gnostic Gospels). I also mix wording from poems or sayings with painted natural impressionistic images. I love watercolor and work a little with silk batik art for scarves and wall hangings. I am a retired college professor in live in West Central Illinois in the United States.
Art Work can be commissioned upon request.
